HBO Signs Overall Deal With ‘Game of Thrones’ Author

HBO has signed a two-year overall deal with "Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin, reports Deadline.com.  

Under the deal, Martin will continue as co-executive producer on "Game of Thrones," and will also develop and produce new series projects for the network.

Martin has written some episodes of the HBO fantasy series. His other TV writing credits include the 1980s series "Beauty and the Beast" and the 1980s version of "The Twilight Zone."
