National Geographic pulled a network record for its Sunday premiere of the scripted drama "Killing Lincoln," according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

The drama drew an average of 3.4 million viewers during its two-hour premiere, a new high for individual broadcasts and a 175% jump from the usual average in the same time period, the story says.

The drama stars Billy Campbell as the president and Jesse Johnson as his assassin, John Wilkes Booth. The project was adapted form the book by Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
