ABC’s new reality diving competition "Splash" will feature an NBA Hall of Famer, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will be a part of the series, along with extreme skier Rory Bushfield, the story reports. The show is geared toward showing famous people looking graceful while diving, which the story says "will be especially interesting when it comes to Abdul-Jabbar, 65, who stands 7 feet, 2 inches tall." It adds, "Here’s hoping the swimming pool is deep enough."
Previously announced cast members include comedian Louie Anderson and Miss Alabama USA Katherine Webb, the piece notes. Webb received national attention during the BCS college football championship game last month, as previously reported.
Fox aired its own diving show last month, “Stars in Danger: The High Dive,” which earned "depressingly low ratings,” the story reports.
"Splash" will debut March 19.
