The syndicated Katie Couric talk show "Katie" has acquired a new co-executive producer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The daytime show tapped Ethan Nelson, who moves from the "GMA" spinoff "Good Afternoon America," the piece reports.

Nelson will serve along with current co-executive producers Michael Bass and Kathy Samuels, while producer Matt Strauss is getting a title promotion to co-executive producer, the story says. Nelson will report to executive producers Couric and Michael Morrison, and will be introduced to the staff today, the story says.
