TBS has renewed a freshman series, ordering an eight-episode second season. B&C reports that the cable channel is bringing back the competition series "King of the Nerds."
The show will wrap up season one March 7, with season two set for next year.
The series debuted to 2 million total viewers on Jan. 17, airing with a lead-in of repeat episodes of "The Big Bang Theory," the piece notes. The show represents TBS’s first move into unscripted programming, although its second unscripted show, "Who Gets the Last Laugh," is set to debut April 16.
“Howie Mandel’s ‘Deal With It’ (working title) and Mark Burnett’s ‘Trust Me, I’m a Game Show Host’ (wt) also make their debuts later this year,” the report notes.
