An actor who has been beefing up his resume with TV work after establishing himself in movies was named Man of the Year by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatrical’s — the nation’s oldest undergraduate drama troupe. TVNewser.com reports that this year’s honor goes to Kiefer Sutherland.
“The Golden Globe-winning actor will be roasted and receive his ceremonial pudding pot at a ceremony scheduled for Friday,” the story reports. “The awards are presented annually to performers who have made a lasting and impressive contribution to entertainment. The 2013 Woman of the Year, Marion Cotillard, was honored last week.”
Sutherland has been appearing in the Fox drama series “Touch” after a critically acclaimed run on the network’s “24” — for which he won an Emmy and a Golden Globe along with two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Before setting up shop on the small screen he was a fixture in feature films including “69,” “Flatliners” and “Dark City.”
