The veteran actress known as the "First Lady of Daytime Television" has died, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lori March Scourby, 90, died in her sleep March 19, the story reports.
Scourby was known for her work on soap operas including "One Life to Live," "Search for Tomorrow" and "The Secret Storm."
On CBS’s "The Secret Storm," she played Valerie Hill Ames Northcoate from 1964 to 1974. She also starred in an episode of "The Twilight Zone" called "Third From the Sun," playing the wife of Fritz Weaver’s character as a couple who with another couple plan to steal a spaceship to avoid the planet’s nuclear war, the story says.
Her late husband, Alexander Scourby, who died in 1985, was an actor and narrator of many audiobooks, including the King James Bible.
