Amazon has greenlighted a project based on a popular zombie movie. EW.com’s Inside TV reports that the online company is moving forward with a pilot based on the 2009 action-comedy “Zombieland.”
"The film’s writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, are writing the pilot; producer Gavin Polone is also returning,” the piece reports. “Filling in the roles of Woody Harrelson, et al., are Kirk Ward, Tyler Ross, Maiara Walsh and Izabela Vidovic."
Amazon said the pilot will follow the movie’s plot, with "four survivors outwitting zombies and searching for a place to call home.”
The pilot will be released with the rest of the company’s projects, which include six comedies and six children’s shows, the story notes. Based on customer response, Amazon will decide which projects will move beyond the pilot stage.
