Emmy-winning actor Beau Bridges has been cast in a CBS comedy project. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that Bridges is joining the untitled CBS comedy pilot from "Raising Hope" creator Greg Garcia.

The multicamera comedy will portray Bridges as the klutzy father to Jack, played by Will Arnett. His wife is Carol, played by "Justified" actress Margo Martindale. After he hears his son has gotten divorced, he decides to leave his wife and move in with his daughter, played by Mary Elizabeth Ellis, the story says.

“Garcia will write and executive produce the show, with veteran director James Burrows on board to helm the CBS Television Studios entry,” the report notes. “JB Smoove co-stars. The casting reunites Bridges with Martindale, with whom he worked on Showtime’s upcoming drama ‘Masters of Sex.’”
