One cable channel is on a major ratings roll, with two current productions delivering huge viewer numbers. The channel, History, reported that the docudrama “The Bible” delivered 10.8 million total viewers in its second outing Sunday night.

With a total of nine telecasts across History and Lifetime since the series debuted March 3, a whopping 50 million cumulative viewers have seen at least a portion of “The Bible,” the channel reported.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s episode of History’s first scripted series, “Vikings,” drew 4.6 million viewers for its 10 p.m. telecast, making it the most-watched cable series in the hour.

The total viewer numbers for the two-hour “The Bible” made History the No. 1 channel on television Sunday from 8-10 p.m., the channel reported. Additionally, the telecast attracted 3.2 million viewers in the key 18-49 demo.
