Actor Ed Asner was rushed to a hospital midway through his performance in a one-man show about FDR, reports the Chicago Sun-Times’ Post-Tribune.

Asner, 83, was hospitalized for exhaustion Tuesday after cutting short a performance in Gary, Indiana. Some of the show’s attendees said the actor had difficulty speaking.

He had started the show 45 minutes late and struggled with his lines as soon as the show started, the piece adds.

On Wednesday Asner posted a tweet, writing, "Reports of my imminent demise are greatly exaggerated. They tell me I am suffering from exhaustion. Thanks for the good wishes!”
