An actress known for her work in Nickelodeon shows is creating buzz with a series of curious, and at times raunchy, tweets.
Fox News reports that a number of the posts by actress Amanda Bynes focus on the rapper Drake.
The latest example surfaced early today on Bynes’ Twitter account: “I want @drake to murder my vagina.”
“The post had been retweeted more than 13,000 times within 12 hours of her posting it,” the report notes.
Reactions among her followers ranged from amusement to outrage. One user commented: “She’s gone crazy!” Another suggested the actress may have been hacked.
“Others wrote that the actress had clearly changed a lot from her days on Nickelodeon’s ‘All That,’” the story reports. “But it’s been a long time since Bynes’ Hollywood star shone that bright. Her last memorable acting role was in ‘Hairspray’ back in 2007, though she did make an appearance in 2010’s ‘Easy A.’”
Bynes starred in Nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show” in the early 2000s, before moving on to a run on WB’s “What I Like About You.”
The Huffington Post ran an especially unfavorable report on Bynes’ latest activities, noting: “Former Nickelodeon star and current purveyor of nonsense Amanda Bynes is diligently documenting her downward spiral on Twitter, though unlike most stars she doesn’t have a verified account and has only 300,000 followers.”
The piece notes a number of odd tweets by Bynes, including: “If I’m not following you on twitter, I hate you.”
And this one: “I created the phrase Ily & lololol. *proud*” The report explains “Ily” means “I love you,” and that “lololol” is presumably just “laughing out loud” repeatedly.
The Fox News report notes that Bynes began focusing tweets on Drake about a week ago, sending photos of him and calling him a “hot fellow.” The piece adds that she is rumored to have recently been kicked out of her apartment in New York City, and reportedly fired her management team last year.
Bynes has also tweeted photos of herself with newly pierced cheeks.
