ABC’s celebrity diving competition “Splash” fell to an all-time low Tuesday night in the key 18-49 demo, based on Nielsen overnights. TVbytheNumbers.com reports that the show delivered a series-low 1.4 average rating in the demo, dropping 18% from last week.

NBC’s “The Voice,” meanwhile, was headed in the opposite direction. The singing competition came through with a 4.3 in viewers 18-49, ticking up 5% from last week and helping NBC coast to an overall win for the night in the demo.

CBS aired mostly reruns and settled for a fifth-place finish for the night.

Leading out from “The Voice,” NBC’s “The New Normal” delivered a 1.9 in 18-49, matching the performance of “Go On” last week in the time slot. That was followed by the season finale of “The New Normal,” which managed only a 1.4 — but that was an improvement of 8% from last week.

NBC’s “Smash” finished third in the 10 p.m. slot with a 0.9 average in adults 18-49, slipping 10% from a week ago.

CBS’s only original program was “Golden Boy,” which finished second at 10 p.m. with a 1.3 average in the 18-49 demo, off 7% from last week.

ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” improved on its “Splash” lead-in, but its 2.2 average in 18-49 was down 8% from last week. “Body of Proof” won 10 p.m. with a 1.5, even as it slipped 6%.

Fox had a 1.9 in viewers 18-49 for “Hell’s Kitchen,” down 5% from a week earlier, and a 1.4 for “The Mindy Project,” down 7%.

For prime time overall, NBC won the 18-49 demo with a 2.3 average rating, followed by ABC (1.7 average), Fox (1.6), Univision (1.6) and CBS (1.4). CBS won total viewers with an average of 9.5 million, leading ABC (9.3 million), NBC (7.0 million), Univision (3.8 million) and Fox (3.7 million).
