Bravo announced a record-breaking lineup of 35 original series, expanding its fleet of unscripted “docu-soaps” and reality series while embarking on its first venture into scripted programming, USA Today reports.

The cable channel, which continues to see strong results for its “Real Housewives” franchise, renewed 18 existing shows and ordered another 17 new programs, set to bow within the next year.

Among the new shows, the piece reports, are “Newlyweds: The First Year” (premiering May 6), “which follows four couples over the course of a year, starting with their wedding day (the honeymoons don’t often last long)”; “Divorce Diva,” profiling attorney Vikki Ziegler; and “Extreme Guide to Parenting,” which examines sometimes questionable parenting methods.

The report adds: “In more typical Bravo fashion, several new shows are patterned after ‘Real Housewives,’ without the housewife part. Among them (with dates if announced): ‘Below Deck,’ due this summer, concerns crew members on a luxury yacht; ‘City Sisters’ (fall) are single, ‘up-and-coming movers and shakers’ in New York; ‘Eat, Drink, Love’ (summer) revolves around Los Angeles women in the restaurant industry.”

Other new shows include “Southern Charm,” set in plantation society around Charleston, S.C.,; “Taking Atlanta” (summer); “100 Days of Summer,” set in Chicago; “Two Fit Girls,” about fitness entrepreneurs; “Ladies of London”; and “Princesses: Long Island.”

Also coming down the pipe: “The Kandi Factory,” “Courtney Loves Dallas,” “Fashion Queens,” “Property Envy” and “Thicker Than Water: The Tankards.”

“’Real Housewives of Orange County’ returned last weekend, ‘Atlanta’ just wrapped its biggest season yet and Bravo also announced new seasons of the ‘New Jersey’ edition (due June 2), along with those in Beverly Hills, Atlanta, Miami and New York,” the report adds. “Other renewals include ‘Flipping Out,’ ‘Tabatha Takes Over,’ ‘Million Dollar Listing,’ ‘Shahs of Sunset’ and ‘Vanderpump Rules.’”

One scripted pilot, “Rita,” with Anna Gunn of “Breaking Bad,” will be shot next week, the story reports.
