After the disappointing ratings of "The Lead with Jake Tapper" and the failed experiment of "(Get to) the Point," CNN is bringing back "Crossfire," which was canceled in 2005, reports Deadline.com.

Insiders at CNN say the show is set to return in June, the story reports. The network hasn’t yet picked hosts, nor is it clear whether it will keep to the original half-hour format. The show first aired in 1982.

"Right now it seems that ‘Crossfire 2.0’ is slated to have a variety of CNN personalities and contributors taking up the ‘left’ and ‘right’ roles on the new version of the political debate show," the story says.

CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker has brought back some other network history since taking over in January, including reviving James Earl Jones’ traditional "This is CNN" voiceover, the piece adds.
