Dr. Phil Denies Rumor About Jodi Arias

Dr. Phil McGraw addressed a rumor connecting him with the family of accused murderer Jodi Arias. The New York Post reports that McGraw denied on Twitter that he’s paying for the family to live in Arizona while Arias is on trial.

“Absolutely untrue,” McGraw, the host of "Dr. Phil," wrote on Twitter. The denial came after a researcher wrote on her personal blog the claim that McGraw was receiving daily notes about the trial from Arias’ parents in exchange for paying for their accommodations, the story says.

"I’ve never met the Arias family, and neither I, nor my … production company — has paid or promised them anything,” McGraw wrote.

Arias is charged with murdering her boyfriend in 2008.

McGraw paid $600,000 to Casey Anthony’s parents for their first TV interview after her acquittal, although the money went to a foundation, the story notes.
