Lohan Adds Stipulation to Plea Agreement, Says She Can’t Get By Without a Particular Drug

Lindsay Lohan’s recent plea agreement, designed to send the actress to rehab, now has a string attached. The actress added a stipulation to the deal she made in the case against her for reportedly lying to authorities, TMZ.com reports.

Citing sources close to Lohan, the website reports that Lohan insisted on the stipulation that she be allowed to continue taking the prescription drug Adderall. Adderall, which contains amphetamine, is a stimulant used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy.

The sources cited in the report indicated Lohan has been taking Adderall daily for years and believes she needs it to enable her to function.

“We’re told Lindsay was steadfast — either attach Adderall to the deal or she’d take her chances at trial,” the story reports. “Sources say Lindsay’s lawyer, Mark Heller, assured her he could find a lockdown rehab facility that would accommodate her demand.”

However, the story says it may not be possible to find a suitable facility. “Fact is, there’s no such thing as a lockdown rehab facility that would take Lindsay, much less allow her to take the drug,” TMZ reports. “It’s pretty ironic … when Lindsay was jailed back in 2010, she got a doctor to prescribe Adderall while she was behind bars … even though her ADHD diagnosis was called into serious question.”

Some people close to Lohan cite the Adderall as a reason for her problems, the piece notes.
