NBC to Give New Show a Second Premiere

Apr 8, 2013  •  Post A Comment

Following a less-than-spectacular ratings debut for a new drama series, NBC will try again. The network will repeat the premiere of "Hannibal" April 10, giving audiences another chance to catch the new gothic drama, reports Deadline.com.

As previously reported, "Hannibal’s” debut Thursday wasn’t exactly the ratings draw that NBC may have been hoping it would be. The show averaged a 1.6 rating in the key 18-49 demo, finishing third in its 10 p.m. time period.

The series will temporarily take "Chicago Fire’s” time slot Wednesday at 10 p.m. for the repeat broadcast. The show’s second episode will air the following night in its regular time period, Thursday at 10 p.m.

  1. Well I did say it once and will repeate it!! its NBC and bound to flop why don’t they just give up!! never do they come up with something new!!

  2. I just think this show is to dark, and creepy,i can barely handle shows like criminal minds and csi with all the gore, and my wife never wants to watch these kind of shows,on the other hand my wife and is favorite show is chicago fire!!

  3. dglefforge should ‘repeate’ trying to spell ‘repeat’. No one will ever take you seriously if you can’t spell and ONLY post to bash NBC.

  4. Who debuts a new show opposite Scandal and expects it to get a decent number?

  5. NBC’s biggest issue with this show is that no one knows about it. With no one watching your network it is tough to introduce new shows. I was amazed that no one I work with had even heard about it. When I asked about it, half thought it was about the Carthaginian General who battled the Romans.

  6. Someone from NBC must have:
    rejected his script
not hired him for a job (with that
    spelling, no wonder)
    peed in his Wheaties
    run over his dog
Nothing else could explain why he comes on this site to post this kind of drivel every time NBC is mentioned in a story.
    Every. Time.

  7. Dglefforge only cares about great entertainment, as evidenced here:

  8. I’ve been seeing promos for Hannibal all over Facebook and all kinds of places outside of the network itself. There’s always one network that’s the current industry whipping boy and right now it’s NBC. To constantly say things like “it’s NBC and they will always fail! They should just give up!” Yeah, because they never had “Must See TV” or some of the highest rated, most popular television series in the history of the medium. Look, if the Peacock molested you then go get some counseling, some Cymbalta and a spellcheck. You’ll feel much better after that.
