The singer who has performed the opening theme for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” since 2007 is off the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Popular singer Faith Hill won’t be returning to the program in the fall, the story reports.

Hill has sung a reworked version of Joan Jett’s "I Hate Myself for Loving You" since replacing Pink, who had the job in 2006 the story says. The decision to leave was Hill’s, and a replacement hasn’t yet been named.

“Sunday Night Football” producer Fred Gaudelli said in a statement: "Faith Hill is family to all of us at ‘Sunday Night Football.’ For the last six seasons and two Super Bowls, her opening performance of ‘Waiting All Day’ set the tone for ‘SNF’ and became a television staple."
