A video clip surfaced that shows actress Reese Witherspoon during her now infamous arrest Friday in which she reportedly pulled the celebrity “Do you know my name” bit on the arresting officer, TMZ reports.
The website posted the brief clip, which you can also find below. The clip shows Witherspoon in handcuffs being moved from a police cruiser.
“She appears calm and cooperative,” TMZ notes, adding: “FOX5 in Atlanta published the video first.”
As we previously reported, Witherspoon was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct at the same time that her husband, CAA agent James Toth, was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Witherspoon was apparently “tipsy,” to put it mildly.
She has since released a statement apologizing for the incident, in which she said: “I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.”
Her statement adds: “It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I’m very sorry for my behavior.”
Witherspoon has canceled a number of TV appearances in the wake of the incident, as we reported earlier.
