Donald Trump Has His Own Announcement About NBC’s Programming Plans, and It Differs From the Network’s Party Line

On the heels of NBC’s unveiling of its fall 2013 schedule, which we reported previously, Donald Trump issued a tweet containing news that wasn’t exactly in line with NBC’s version.

Trump’s news was that his show “Celebrity Apprentice” had been picked up for another season. But the show didn’t appear on the fall schedule released by NBC. The show has been considered to be on the bubble.

Trump tweeted on Sunday: “I am pleased to inform you that Celebrity Apprentice has been renewed for another season by NBC.” He added: “See you at the NBC upfronts tomorrow.”

Deadline.com reports that the network had not confirmed whether the show had officially been given the nod and had not announced whether Trump would be a part of the network’s upfront presentation.

Two years ago, Trump used the upfront stage to announce that he wouldn’t run for president and would return to "Celebrity Apprentice,” Deadline notes.

  1. After viewing NBC schedule for Sunday nights for next spring, “Celebrity Apprentice” would have generated a lot more viewers, than the three new shows that are on the announced schedule.
I will NOT be watching NBC on Sunday nights next spring (if those three new shows are on).
Just remember “Ready for Love”, which was quickly canceled, was on Sunday spring schedule announced last year.

  2. Well Its NBC the way it looks like to me NBC is going to fail again!! never do they come up with anything NEW!!! will they ever learn?? I don’t think soooo!!! see you in the cellar again!!

  3. It’s a perfect fit!
    Celebrity Apprentice is crap.
    NBC’s line up is crap.
Donald Trump is an self-inflated pile of crap.

  4. dglefforge (David Lefforge) is a piece of crap. Basedon his own criteria, he should LOVE NBC, since he doesn’t think highly of them.
