One of the fun ways to spend some time relaxing during a holiday weekend such as Memorial Day weekend is to tune into some of the many marathons and mini-marathons on TV. Once again, we urge you to check out all of the TV marathons this weekend as compiled by Mike Vicic at TV Tango.

And if all of this weekend marathons weren’t enough, here’s a major 48-hour TV marathon set to start in two weeks, at 3 a.m. at the very beginning of Saturday morning, June 8th, 2013: It’s a marathon of "Perry Mason," one of the most beloved shows in TV history. Doing the honors is the Hallmark Movie Channel. By the way, most weekends the Hallmark Movie Channel is also a favorite of baby-boomer insomniacs for its wee-hour airings of "Mr. Ed." [All we can say about that brilliant programming coup is a horse is a horse, of course, of course and no one can talk to a horse, of course, that is, of course unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed."]

Some marathon highlights we culled from Vicic’s TV Tango list for this weekend are as follows (all times Eastern Time. Check listings for other time zones):

"Deadliest Catch" from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, May 25th on Discovery Channel

"NCIS" from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May May 27th on USA Network

"Freaks & Geeks" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, May 27th on IFC

"Dr. Who" from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 26th on BBC America

"Hatfield & McCoys" mini-series from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Sunday, May 26th on History channel

"Mad Men " from 1:30 p.m to 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 26th on AMC
