HBO continues to move further into comedy, placing a series order for a project from Mike Judge, the creator of animated shows such as "King of the Hill," The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

The project is an untitled comedy set in modern Silicon Valley, with a cast that includes T.J. Miller, Thomas Middleditch, Josh Brener, Lindsey Broad, Christopher Evan Welch, Amanda Crew, Angela Trimbur, Zach Woods and Kumail Nanjiani, the story notes.

The order marks the second comedy series order this week from HBO, which also greenlighted an untitled gay-themed comedy starring Jonathan Groff, as we reported previously.

“The recent additions also join ‘Getting On’ (six episodes from the creators of ‘Big Love’) and Stephen Merchant’s ‘Hello Ladies’ (eight episodes) as well as Christopher Guest entry ‘Family Tree,’ which bowed this month to lackluster returns,” THR adds.
