TV Fixture Throws Her Hat in the Daytime Talk Ring

May 2, 2013  •  Post A Comment

A familiar TV personality is getting into the daytime talk game with a syndicated show in the works for a possible fall 2014 debut. Deadline.com reports that “Today” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” veteran Meredith Vieira is working on a pilot with NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution.

Vieira started talking with NBCUniversal about the project soon after she said in January that she would be leaving the syndicated game show "Millionaire,” the piece notes.

Her talk show would likely be "lighter and more entertaining" than shows from her "Today" predecessors Katie Couric and Jane Pauley, the story adds.

The NBC station group hasn’t yet signed on for a new show to replace "Jeff Probst," which has been canceled, so the stations could air temporary programming until Vieira’s show is ready.

  2. No one cares about George Lefforge’s crappy catering business. Yuck, is that mold, boss man?
