ABC’s "Scandal" has promoted a recurring actor to a series regular for the show’s third season. EW.com’s Inside TV reports that the series promoted Scott Foley, who plays Jake.
Foley has been a recurring guest star on the program, with his character thrown into a torture pit at the end of the second season, leaving his future in the lurch, the story notes. “Scandal” was created by Shonda Rhimes.
"I’m thrilled to join such a talented, enthusiastic and professional group of people,” Foley said in a statement. “Shonda and company have created a troupe of layered, complex characters, and to be able to be part of that is both exciting and humbling."
