Environmental activist Erin Brockovich-Ellis was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of boating while under the influence at Lake Mead in Nevada, reports ABC News.

Brockovich, 52, was arrested after a game warden watched her allegedly struggle to dock her boat at the Las Vegas Boat Harbor, the story says. Her blood-alcohol level was reportedly found to be twice the legal limit, the piece adds.

Brockovich said in a statement: "At no time was the boat away from the dock and there was no public safety risk. That being said, I take drunk driving very seriously, this was clearly a big mistake, I know better and I am very sorry."

Brockovich, who gained fame after a movie starring Julia Roberts was made about her efforts to fight PG&E, has hosted ABC’s "Challenge America with Erin Brockovich" and "Final Justice" on Zone Reality.
