Sesame Workshop, the producer of "Sesame Street," is trimming its staff, just two weeks after the show earned six Daytime Emmy Awards. According to The Hollywood Reporter the company is cutting staff by 10%.
The cuts come after previous reductions in the spring of 2012, the story notes.
"After careful review, we have concluded that we must reduce our workforce by approximately 10% to strategically focus our resources," a representative said. "We remain optimistic about our future and remain committed to our mission of helping children reach their highest potential here and around the globe.”
