T Bone Burnett, who has been working as executive music producer for ABC’s “Nashville,” won’t return to the country-music drama for its second season, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.
Burnett is booked with a slate of other film, TV and recording projects, his manager told the publication. Burnett is married to "Nashville" creator Callie Khouri, and oversaw the creation of more than 100 original recordings and produced and co-produced dozens of original songs for the drama, the piece adds.
Burnett also co-wrote the score for each of the show’s first-season episodes. His second-in-command, Buddy Miller, will take over his role on the show.
Burnett is currently working on music for the Coen brothers film "Inside Llewyn Davis."
