One of the stars of NBC’s "Parenthood" is adapting her best-selling novel into a one-hour drama. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that Lauren Graham is adapting her novel "Someday, Someday, Maybe" for the project.

The book, Graham’s first novel, came out in April. The story about a young woman with six months left in her three-year plan to make it big as an actress in New York City will be adapted into a script by Graham.

She will also executive produce with Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman. The studios behind the project are Warner Bros. TV and A Very Good Production, the story notes.

Graham appeared for seven seasons on WBTV’s "Gilmore Girls."
