Racism, misogyny and homophobia have surfaced on CBS’s "Big Brother," prompting the network to respond to comments on the show’s live feed, TMZ.com reports.

CBS released a statement to the website, saying: "We certainly find the statements made by several of the Houseguests on the live Internet feed to be offensive." The network also said that live programming can reveal unpleasant aspects of people, adding, "At times, the Houseguests reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone."

Among the comments noted in the TMZ report:

— GinaMarie referred to welfare as “n**ger insurance”
— Aaryn called gay contestant Andy a "queer."
— Spencer referred to Andy as “Kermit the F**" … and praised Hitler as a gifted speaker.

Zap2It.com adds that another houseguest, Jeremy, continuously refers to women as "bitches," while a discussion among GinaMarie, Aaryn and Kaitlin "got rather ugly" on the subject of race, with the houseguests referring to black contestants in the house as "tokens."

According to Zap2It, Kaitlin said to another contestant, "I can’t trust anyone, n****." She then added, "I just said the N-word!"

Zap2It adds that Aaryn used disparaging language to refer to Andy, noting that he would probably get MVP because "people love the queers."

TMZ adds: "There have been rumors that ‘Big Brother’ will be 86ing some of the offensive cast members — but it certainly doesn’t appear that’s gonna happen."

  1. And yes folks, to be sure, this is all carefully concocted ‘drama’ to keep viewers tuning in. *yawn*
    “I don’t need reality TV..I HAVE a life.”

  2. That is called UNCENSORED..if you don’t like it..don’t subscribe to the live feeds. Would you rather they censor every conversation? GROW UP PEOPLE…IF THEY TALK THAT WAY,,..ITS THEIR SHAME. You complain..you will be seeing front doors, fish tanks and chicken coops instead of houseguests…QUIT CRYING AND GROW UP.

  3. The Network has created a show where the contestants are all sleaze balls, the sleazier the better. I don’t think anyone should be surprised or offended by what any of them say on the air or online. The only people more ignorant than the contestants are the people who watch the show. The only people with lower values then the contestants are the people who created the show.
