Bravo, the home of the "Real Housewives" reality franchise, is tackling a much different type of project. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel is working on "Fortune," which is inspired by the Charles Dickens novel "Bleak House."

"Fortune" is a one-hour drama series with a script in development from playwright Theresa Rebeck and executive producers John Wells and Andrew Stearn. Set in the present day, the project follows a prominent New York family battling over an inheritance.

Dickens’ "Bleak House" tracked the endless legal battles over a fortune complicated by conflicting wills.
