Fox has given a put pilot commitment to an adaptation of Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill’s "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" graphic novels, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.
Michael Green of "Green Lantern" will write and executive produce and serve as showrunner should the project go to series. 3 Arts’ Erwin Stoff will also executive produce, but neither Moore nor O’Neill will serve as executive producers, the piece adds.
The graphic novels feature a group of well-known Victorian literary characters, such as Captain Nemo and Dr. Jekyll, who work together to fight enemies. A film version was released in 2003, starring Sean Connery, but it wasn’t well received.
