An actress who is a favorite of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon has been cast on the CW’s Greg Berlanti action-adventure series "Arrow." TheWrap.com reports that Summer Glau will appear on the series in a recurring role.
The show is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow. Glau will portray "the enigmatically beautiful and professionally dangerous Isabel Rochev, Vice President of Acquisitions of Stellmoor International," the network said. She will appear on the series beginning with its Oct. 9 season premiere.
Glau appeared in Whedon’s short-lived 2002 Fox space Western series "Firefly" and its 2005 feature film incarnation, "Serenity," and also had roles in Whedon’s TV series "Angel" and "Dollhouse."
