No-Brainer? Producers Tweak ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ After Receiving Criticism

Fox’s "So You Think You Can Dance" is making some changes after viewers criticized the show. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the show is tweaking its procedures after two competitors were voted off the show at the top of the hour, then still had to perform the week’s dance.

The show won’t keep that format, according to judge and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. "We’re taking your advice by revealing America’s vote in the beginning and judging at the end," Lythgoe wrote on Twitter. "I hope it will inspire the bottom 4? Thank you."

With the tweak, the bottom four contestants will have the chance to "dance for their lives" before the judges decide which two will get booted from the program, the story says.
