Embattled television chef Paula Deen is bringing in a big gun as she struggles to emerge from a scandal involving her use of the N-word.
Deen hired Patty Glaser, a Hollywood attorney for Keith Olbermann and Conan O’Brien, as part of a revamp of her legal team, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Glaser won’t represent Deen in a lawsuit filed by a former restaurant manager, which led to Deen’s admissions in a deposition that she had used racial epithets. Instead, Glaser will provide overall counsel to Deen and handle her relationships with sponsors, which took a negative turn after the deposition went public.
Deen has lost several large business partners, including Walmart and Food Network.
