USA Network Shuffles Schedule After Disappointing Start for New Series

USA Network is tweaking its schedule just a few weeks after rolling out a new show. The cable channel is shifting the new unscripted series "Summer Camp" to Mondays at 11 p.m. starting Aug. 5, reports Deadline.com.

The show has been airing Thursdays at 8 p.m., but it got off to a slow start, with 1.1 million viewers tuning in for its July 11 debut, the story notes. The number was only a little higher than the 950,000 viewers who turned out for the April premiere of USA’s other new unscripted show, "The Moment."

"But ‘Summer Camp’ fared far better in the younger demos (661,000 adults 18-49, up 86%, 422,000 in 18-34, up 215%), leading to USA’s decision to give the show a shot in a different slot," the piece notes.

The show will follow "WWE Raw" on Mondays, and the network hopes that some of the audience for "Raw" will stick around to watch "Summer Camp," given that the two shows have a similar median age.

  1. Very stupid show. Just what you want your kids to see before going to summer camp NOT!!!

  2. thanks for support harley !

  3. this is stupid why move it to 11pm no one is going to watch it that late

  4. Nobody’s watching it NOW! The few viewers it does have should be thanking USA for keeping it on the schedule at all and not burning the produced episodes on its website!
