The fallout continues from Miley Cyrus’ rump-twirling act at MTV’s Video Music Awards, with the latest group to join the feeding frenzy being an advocacy group for … teddy bears.
TMZ.com reports that the Teddy Bear Fund, which gives out stuffed animals at abuse shelters, is upset about the performance, which featured a variety of large teddy bears.
A rep for the group told the website: "Miley made a poor choice to use a universally loved children’s teddy bear in an offensive way."
TMZ notes: "Miley’s been under fire ever since she bumped, grinded and twerked her crotch through an army of seemingly drugged out teddy bears during her VMA performance."
The teddy bear group’s rep added: "There is always good art and bad art — unfortunately … this was bad art. Hopefully she might consider reversing this situation by giving lots of teddy bears to children in need of comfort."
