Dustin Hoffman has been treated for cancer, People magazine reports, citing the actor’s representative. According to the rep, the treatment was successful.
"It was detected early and he has been surgically cured," his rep said. "Dustin is feeling great and is in good health."
The two-time Oscar winner, 75, will undergo preventive treatments to minimize the likelihood of a recurrence, the story says. His rep declined to disclose more information about his cancer or treatments.
Hoffman won Oscars for "Kramer vs. Kramer" in 1980 and "Rain Man" in 1989. He’s also an Emmy winner, for the 1985 CBS production "Death of a Salesman."
