Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been approached about returning to host the Golden Globes, after their previous hosting gig drew almost 20 million viewers and rave reviews, reports Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com.
"I hear there are no active conversations between the network and the funny ladies who have received an informal invitation versus a formal offer as NBC and [Dick Clark Productions] are looking to gauge their interest," Andreeva writes.
Both actresses are busy, with Fey in the first year of a four-year deal at Universal TV, under which she has already sold two comedy projects. Poehler is the star and producer of NBC’s "Parks and Recreation."
Andreeva adds: "But unlike the Oscars, which are a massive undertaking requiring about three months of prep work for the host(s), the Golden Globes are not as labor intensive for the hosts, who don’t have as big a role on the free-wheeling show."
