Two sons of rock singer John Mellencamp were booked in an alleged attack on a teenager in southern Indiana, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Hud Mellencamp, 19, was booked early today in a Monroe County jail on felony battery charges and later released, the story reports. Speck Mellencamp, 18, was released Friday on similar charges.
The brothers are accused of punching and kicking a 19-year-old man.
"Authorities say Speck Mellencamp entered the porch of a man’s Bloomington home and punched him in the face July 29, believing that man had hit him earlier that evening," the story reports. "Court documents say the brothers and another 19-year-old man ‘punched, kicked and stomped’ the man, who suffered facial injuries."
John Mellencamp lives near Bloomington, the report notes, adding that his publicist declined comment.
