TV Land has made the decision to cancel a series. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the cable channel is divorcing itself from the Fran Drescher comedy "Happily Divorced" after two seasons.
The comedy starred Drescher as a woman who starts dating again after her husband reveals that he’s gay. While the semi-autobiographical story debuted with 2.4 million total viewers in June 2011, it ended its second season with about 1 million viewers in February.
TV Land is preparing a new comedy starring Kirstie Alley and is working on scripted pilots for "Jennifer Falls" with Jaime Pressly and "Younger" from Darren Star, the story notes.
