The trailer for a new Spike Jonze movie appears to ask, "What if Siri were not just a robotic voice who misinterprets your inquiries about nearby Mexican restaurants? What if Siri could understand human emotions, provide worthwhile company, and communicate with you in a voice that did not make you want to ask her to locate the closest bridge to drive off of?," Vanity Fair reports.
The movie, "Her," stars Scarlett Johansson as Samantha, the film’s sultry surrogate for Siri, along with Joaquin Phoenix as Theodore Twombly, her smitten user.
"Also featured in the trailer are Amy Adams and a sad wig as a potential love interest who may not have a chance against Johansson’s smoky-voiced operator, as well as Rooney Mara (in flashback), playing the woman who left Twombly broken enough to romantically pursue a computer in the first place," the piece reports.
