Ho much do Americans hate the media? The Huffington Post, citing a poll from Gallup, reports that the venom has subsided just a little since last year.
Americans’ distrust of the media reached an all-time high in 2012, with only 40% of respondents saying they could trust the press, the story says.
This year, that number has improved to 44%, the story says.
"Yes, 55 percent of people are still suspicious of the media. Those are bad numbers," the piece notes.
"This year’s bump in confidence comes mainly from independents and Republicans, after these groups’ trust in the media dropped last year amid a heated presidential election race in which Mitt Romney supporters may have felt their candidate was being treated unfairly," Gallup said.
