Judge Greg Mathis, the star of the courtroom show "Judge Mathis," is working with daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on a half-hour comedy that has been sold to Fox, TheWrap.com reports.

The script deal was announced Wednesday by Warner Bros. DeGeneres, Mathis and Jeff Kleeman are executive producing.

"The project is inspired by the real life of the ‘Judge Mathis’ star, who considers himself a ‘hoodlum-turned-judge.’ Mathis’ new sitcom will depict the life of the man who has total control of his courtroom, but no control at home raising his four children," the story says.

  1. Very disappointed with today’s show. Plaintiff had a money order stolen by a neighbor, his relatives who rented the apt for him ended up having his name forged on the money order to pay the thiefs utility bill. I don’t understand why the plaintiff who had a receipt, as proof of purchase of the money order, did not win against the defendant and the defendant can sue his thieving relative.

  2. Love that guy
