NBA champion LeBron James of the Miami Heat is working with a TV channel on a comedy series. The New York Daily News reports that the project is in the works at Starz.

"He has joined with a group that includes producer Tom Werner, who is also chairman of the Boston Red Sox, to create ‘Survivor’s Remorse,’ a half-hour sitcom for Starz," the story reports. "The show focuses on two men from the Philadelphia ghetto who become successful and occasionally find themselves looking back with pangs of guilt."

James will be an executive producer on the project. Said James: "I have a deep passion for the amazing television being created right now. I love ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ ‘Magic City,’ ‘Scandal’ and ’24.’"

The NBA star added: "When my business partners Tom Werner and Maverick Carter brought up the idea of creating a television series that would capture the story of what happens when you make it out, I jumped at the chance.

"Nobody can craft a story like Tom Werner. He has an incredible vision for television and I’m really excited to partner with him and the rest of our team."

Mike O’Malley, who has been playing Kurt Hummel’s father on "Glee," will be a writer on the project. No airdate has been set.
