The global entertainment, media and lifestyle public relations agency The Lippin Group has named a new president of corporate communications. The company announced today that it has promoted Donald Ciaramella to the post.

"Mr. Ciaramella will look to further the company’s growth in both traditional and new media, while continuing to manage the company’s New York office," the company said in its announcement. "In this newly created role, he will also continue to provide strategic communications and business counsel to C-suite level and senior communications executives for leading entertainment and media clients."

Chairman and CEO Dick Lippin said in a statement: “Don and I have been together for a long time and I truly believe he is one of the most dedicated and professional executives in our entire industry. He has shown leadership throughout his career and developed exceptional relations with the media and top level executives in the entertainment world. Add to that his honesty and you have the whole package of someone who is a delight to call my associate.”

Ciaramella was previously EVP of corporate communications for The Lippin Group. In that capacity he has overseen "domestic and international corporate strategies and activities targeting the industry, business, advertising and media communities," the company said in its announcement. His oversight has included TV — broadcast, cable, syndication and VOD — along with interactive and international production and distribution companies, professional services companies and industry associations, the company noted.

"Specifically his strategies have successfully launched several cable channels including Gospel Music Channel (now UP), HGTV, ImaginAsian (now Mnet America), and ReelzChannel," the company said. "He has also overseen campaigns for established networks including: A&E, Court TV, Hallmark, HISTORY, Starz, TV5MONDE USA, TV One, Univision and Veria Living."
