"Homeland" has become a victim of online piracy, with the Showtime drama’s third-season premiere leaked online before its Sept. 29 airdate, reports Deadline.com.

More than 100,000 users of the file-sharing site BitTorrent have reportedly downloaded the episode, while "Homeland" producer 20th Century Fox’s anti-piracy unit is working on pulling the episode, according to the report. The online version is said to be a workprint and missing opening credits.

The episode was shown last month at the Television Critics Association press tour, the piece notes.

  1. And once again the industry fails to grasp the HUGE upside of an event like this. It has very likely helped create a lot of discussion & buzz on the internet, so much so that it will probably HELP the ratings rather than hurt them. Morons.
