Lucy Liu’s character on the CBS series "Elementary" is about to make her first attempt at online dating, and EW.com reports that Joan will meet a man played by Broadway star Steve Kazee.
Kazee won a Tony in 2012 as one of two leads in the original cast of the musical “Once," which racked up a batch of Tonys itself, including best musical.
So will Joan find what she’s looking for? Well, there’s a hitch: “Sherlock’s (Jonny Lee Miller) views on relationships — particularly Internet matchmaking — may mar the courtship before it even has the chance to get off the ground,” the story says.
Before his star turn in the hit musical, Kazee appeared in the TV series “Working Class” and had bit parts on “CSI” and “NCIS.” His “Once” co-star Cristin Milioti — who was nominated for a Tony herself for "Once" — is now the mother on "How I Met Your Mother."
The "Elementary" episode, “We Are Everyone,” is set to air in October. “Elementary” returns Sept. 26.
