One of the stars of "Everybody Loves Raymond" may be returning to television, with ABC developing a project based on actor Brad Garrett’s yet-to-be-published autobiography, "When the Balls Drop," The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.
The project is being eyed as a starring vehicle for Garrett, who most recently appeared in "How to Live With Your Parents," a short-lived ABC show. If the "Balls" project doesn’t move forward, Garrett could be cast in another project by producer 20th Century Fox Television, since he has a talent holding deal with the studio, the story says.
Garrett’s book will be published by Simon & Schuster, while the Emmy-winning actor is writing the pilot for the comedy with "How I Met Your Mother" writer Chuck Tatham. The book and TV project will track a divorced middle-aged man as he deals with work and his home life, the story says.
