Actress Named Esquire’s ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’

An actress has taken over the title of "Sexiest Woman Alive," based on the annual revelation by Esquire magazine. The New York Daily News reports that the title goes to Scarlett Johansson.

Johansson, who also held the title in 2006, takes over for last year’s winner, Mila Kunis. Other recent winners have included Rihanna, Minka Kelly and Kate Beckinsale.

In an interview related to the magazine feature, Johansson said: "You know, I gotta hustle. I’m a 28-year-old woman in the movie business, right? Pretty soon the roles you’re offered all become mothers. Then they just sort of stop."

The report adds: "The ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ star shows very little sign of stopping. Her latest feat, the porn vs. love-themed Joseph Gordon-Levitt flick, is another example of her sexiness on display."

The Daily News piece notes that Johansson is planning to be married soon to her fiance, Romain Duraic.

The report notes: "Like her magazine title, it’ll be a repeat celebration for the actress, who was previously married to actor, and previous People magazine "Sexiest Man," Ryan Reynolds. The equally sexy couple divorced in 2011."

Said Johansson: "I think maybe in the past I didn’t have the same kind of investment. Not that I liked my partner less. I just wasn’t capable of it or caring that much."

Here’s a video posted by Esquire in connection with Johansson’s selection:
